Frequently Ask Questions
Who publishes a death notice?
The Funeral Director is primarily responsible for publishing the death notice. They work with a trusted Family Liaison (a family member or friend) to gather and finalize the details.
Why must a Funeral Director handle the posting?
Because the information is sensitive, MyCondolences.ph requires postings to be made by a registered Funeral Director to ensure accuracy and legitimacy.
How much does it cost to publish a death notice?
The listing fee is 1,500 PHP, and it is paid by the Funeral Director.
What if there is no Funeral Director (historical or overseas cases)?
MyCondolences.ph staff can assist with posting on behalf of the family.
- For historical cases: email historical@mycondolences.ph
- For overseas cases: email overseas@mycondolences.ph
What information is required if no Funeral Director is involved?
At least one of the following is required:
- Written permission from a direct family member (e.g., parent, sibling, aunt/uncle, cousin)
- Official death certificate
- Original notice from a funeral director’s website (local or overseas)
- Contact details of the funeral director handling arrangements abroad
Can historical or overseas listings be managed by the family?
Yes. A trusted family member or friend can be assigned login access to manage, update, and coordinate the listing.
How much do historical or overseas listings cost?
The fee is also 1,500 PHP, the same as a new listing.
Who is responsible for posting Forty Days, anniversaries, or special remembrances?
The Family Liaison is responsible for posting these updates.
