Publishing and Listings

Who publishes my loved one’s death notice?

The Funeral Director is primarily responsible for publishing the death notice. They work with a trusted Family Liaison (a family member or friend) to gather and finalize the details.

Because the information is personal and sensitive, listings are generally submitted through a registered Funeral Director to help ensure legitimacy and respectful handling.

The listing fee is 1,500 PHP, and this is paid by the Funeral Director.

MyCondolences.ph staff can help post on the family’s behalf, especially for historical notices, overseas deaths, or cases where no Funeral Director has been registered.

For historical notices, contact historical@mycondolences.ph. The team will coordinate with the family to create a memorial and condolences listing.

For overseas notices, contact overseas@mycondolences.ph. Staff will assist with creating the listing for families with loved ones abroad.

One or more of the following may be requested: written permission from a direct family member, the official death certificate, the original notice from a funeral home website, or the overseas Funeral Director’s contact details.

Yes. A trusted family member or friend can be involved and may be given login access to post, amend, and coordinate the listing.

The fee is the same as a new listing: 1,500 PHP.

Family Liaison

What is a Family Liaison?

A Family Liaison is a trusted family member or friend who helps coordinate the memorial listing and related updates.

The Family Liaison can work with the Funeral Director, approve condolences, upload pictures and videos, and manage future notices such as Forty Days, anniversaries, and special remembrances.

The Family Liaison is responsible for posting those notices and updates.

Acknowledgements are thank-you messages for people who supported the family or helped during the loved one’s illness, passing, or funeral arrangements.

Yes. The current Family Liaison can give up the role and appoint a new one, but there must always be a Family Liaison assigned.

For corrections or manual changes, email familyliasion@mycondolences.ph

No. Only one Family Liaison is allowed to maintain accountability.

Funeral Notice Details

What information is included in the funeral listing?

The listing may include the name of the deceased, date of death, location and barangay, wake details, funeral service details, burial or cremation details, and any other important family notes.

Yes. If needed, the Funeral Director and/or Family Liaison can upload maps to help family and friends find the wake, church, cemetery, crematorium, or burial locations.

Yes. Providers such as florists, caterers, musicians, memorial gift suppliers, and funeral directors can advertise in the Funeral Services section.

Providers can advertise free of charge in the Funeral Services section.

Yes. The services can be searched nationally or locally.

Donations and Clarity

Can I add a QR code or donation location for friends and family to donate?

Yes. The listing can include a donation option, most commonly through a QR code uploaded by the Funeral Director or Family Liaison, so family and friends can donate to the family or to a chosen charity.

No. The platform says it has chosen Caritas as its charity of choice.

My Condolences donates 5% of all profits to Caritas.

Caritas helps with funeral expenses for Filipinos who may not be in a position to provide a funeral service for themselves or their loved ones.
